GS-CA-04 · Dense and insulating grades

Low-cement and self-flowing castables

Conventional castables lose strength between 800 and 1100 °C, after the hydraulic bond has gone and before the ceramic bond has formed. Low-cement formulations carry strength through that gap.

02 / MATERIAL & PROCESS

Low-cement and self-flowing castables

We supply a grade against the placement method you will actually use — vibration, self-flow or gunning — not a single product with a range of water additions and a hope that site follows the sheet.

Each delivery carries its batch number, and we keep a retained sample for the length of the warranty.

  • 01Strength through the gapLow cement keeps the 800–1100 °C dip from becoming a weak layer in the lining.
  • 02Placed the way site worksSelf-flow for congested anchor fields; gunning for repairs during a short window.
  • 03Traceable batchesBatch numbers on every bag, with retained samples held here.
